Export Operations Manager – International Air & Ocean Freight
About The Position
Priority Worldwide is an international freight forwarder specializing in complex air and ocean export operations, including time-critical, regulated, and government-related cargo. We operate across air, ocean, and intermodal transportation with a strong focus on compliance, operational excellence, and service reliability. We are seeking an experienced Export Operations Manager to lead a high-performing export team handling international shipments across air, ocean, and intermodal environments. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced global logistics environment. This is a working leadership position where you will manage people, processes, and performance while also stepping into shipments and escalations when needed to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction. You will own end-to-end international export operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and high service standards across all shipments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of freight forwarding export operations experience required
- Prior experience in a team lead or management role required
- Strong knowledge of international air/ocean export processes
- Hands-on experience with ITAR or regulated cargo
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced export environments
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
- Lead and support export operations team performance and daily shipment execution
- Manage end-to-end international export processes from booking through delivery
- Act as escalation point for complex shipments and service issues
- Ensure compliance with ITAR and other regulated cargo requirements
- Coordinate air, ocean, and intermodal export movements
- Support team development, training, and workflow optimization
- Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Track operational KPIs and reporting
