The Office of Research Security at the University of Virginia seeks an Export Control / Research Security Analyst to support the University's export control and research security compliance programs. This position provides operational support for the day-to-day administration of the University's export control program by conducting initial reviews of compliance requests, assisting with regulatory determinations, maintaining compliance records, and supporting outreach to the University research community. Working under the guidance of senior compliance staff, the Export Control / Research Security Analyst serves as a significant resource to faculty, researchers, administrators, and staff by helping facilitate compliant international research, travel, shipping, hiring, visitor activities, and global collaborations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the University's research enterprise by helping faculty and researchers navigate complex federal regulations while advancing international collaboration in a compliant and responsible manner. Eligibility Requirement: Due to the nature of the duties performed, this position may require access to export-controlled information. Therefore, applicants must qualify as a U.S. Person, as defined under applicable U.S. export control regulations.
