About The Position

MSC USA is seeking candidates for an Export Traffic Analyst position in Chicago. This role offers a career opportunity in logistics for individuals with no prior experience, within a diverse and growing global company. The position involves learning the intricacies of moving shipments and gaining industry knowledge with the largest shipping line in the world. The analyst will assist clients with shipment-related questions and concerns, provide excellent customer service, and maintain data integrity through accurate record-keeping.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to details
Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively
Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Works well as part of a team
Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software
Authorization to work in the U.S

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with any questions or concerns they might have with their shipments.
Provide excellent customer service to achieve client satisfaction.
Accurately record and log interactions with customers to ensure data integrity for management reports.
Maintain productivity and service levels standards.
Answer phone calls and emails in a timely, professional, and effective manner.
Observe corporate guidelines when addressing customer inquiries regarding shipments.
Ensure that appropriate action is taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns.
Exhaust all available tools to ensure customer’s needs are satisfied within the first communication.
Reach out to respective departments outside of Export Traffic Customer Service to amend and fix any discrepancies.
Escalate unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
Anticipate potential problems before they arise and possess problem-solving skills to address unforeseen issues.
Go the extra mile by providing additional information to enhance customer’s experience.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
