About The Position

Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a global leader in the aerospace industry, headquartered in Longueuil, Quebec. We manufacture next-generation engines that power the world’s largest fleet of business, general aviation, and regional aircraft and helicopters. For nearly 100 years, we have pioneered advancements in engine development, supporting cargo and equipment, transportation, wildfire suppression, and passenger travel. As part of our growing Operations Strategy team, your mission will be to help create the supply chain of the future which will complement our Manufacturing operations to build our engines for the next decade. This unique positioning places you at the heart of the organization. You will serve as the "strategic thread" that integrates and extends existing sourcing plans into a cohesive whole. As a high-level individual contributor, you will act as an internal strategic consultant, leveraging your technical expertise to orchestrate major structural changes and influence senior leadership decisions regarding P&WC’s industrial footprint for the next decade.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 to 12 years of professional experience in aerospace (OEM), with recognized expertise in complex manufacturing processes (raw materials, castings, forgings, complex machining), or Minimum of 10 to 12 years of professional experience in aerospace or a high-precision manufacturing industry (ex. Automotive), with recognized expertise in complex manufacturing processes (raw materials, castings, forgings).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business with strong technical exposure.
  • Experience in negociating with suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to extract strategic insights from complex data, financial models, and spend analysis.
  • Ability to synthesize complex issues and build consensus within a dynamic, global matrix environment.
  • Ability to lead large-scale international projects with total autonomy, sharp strategic judgment, and a strong collaborative spirit.
  • Requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the decision-making analyses (financial, operational, and strategic) to determine the optimal industrial footprint for both current and future engine programs.
  • Design and implement integrated strategies between manufacturing and supply chain to optimize the global network and ensure robust operations.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses of spend data by value stream to identify opportunities for margin expansion, cost reduction, and measurable value creation.
  • Ensure a seamless transition between strategic design phases and operational deployment (NPI), ensuring that Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance are perfectly aligned.
  • Prepare and present complex strategic dossiers to P&WC and RTX leadership committees to secure stakeholder buy-in for high-impact initiatives.
  • Identify and qualify new technological partners domestically and abroad to build the agile and robust global operations network of the future.
