About The Position

Flare is a breakout cybersecurity Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company with a mission to empower organizations to take control of their data and protect their customers, employees and brand by shedding light on external threats. We enable cybersecurity teams to proactively detect high-risk external exposure across the dark and clear web, before threat actors have a chance to leverage it. We unify the core functionalities of cyber threat intelligence and external attack surface management into a single, intuitive platform. TL;DR: We are a bunch of geeks who help protect our clients' data (and people in their network) by locating cyber risks. About the role As the Accounting Operations Specialist, you will be the operational backbone of Flare’s finance function. We’ve built a strong foundation, and are expanding the team to support our rapid growth and increasing complexity. We need someone who can dive into our day-to-day operations, and who is curious and capable enough to grow into systems, automation, and agent-based workflows within a few months of joining. Reporting to the Controller, you will own meaningful work from day one and be deeply involved in our transactions, systems, and processes. The reality of the role Most accounting roles are about maintaining a status quo. This is not one of those roles. Flare is in a period of hyper-growth. Our systems and processes are evolving in real time, and what works today may need to be redesigned tomorrow. This is a unique opportunity to help build best-in-class accounting operations at a hypergrowth startup and scale them alongside the business. What makes this role unique: Presence in the work: You will own the transactional layer of our finance function - real, recurring, accountable work that keeps a finance function running accurately and on time Systems curiosity: You will be working within our AI-native ERP from the outset, and will support the evolution of accounting operations. An interest in financial systems and automation is critical. Building while flying: You will figure things out, document what you learn, and flag what isn’t working - driving continuous improvement, not just maintaining it.
