Experienced Paintless Dent Repair Technician, PDR (Night Shift) $6-8k Bonus
About The Position
Carvana is hiring an experienced Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician for its Manville, New Jersey location. The technician will repair vehicle dents using advanced glue-pulling techniques and perform hail damage repairs, crease and body-line repairs, and repairs to larger dents on steel and aluminum panels. Work takes place in a high-tech vehicle inspection and reconditioning center. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. The hourly pay range is $18.00–$35.00, based on experience and skill level, with a $1 shift differential. A sign-on bonus of $6,000 is offered to Level 2 technicians and $8,000 to Level 3 technicians. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Carvana describes its commitment as selling only cars it would sell to its own family. Its reconditioning centers inspect, repair, and photograph vehicles before they are listed on the Carvana website. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional automotive PDR experience.
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
- Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Must not require visa sponsorship for this role.
