About The Position

Olney Modern Dentistry is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to support patients and clinicians as part of its oral health care team. The role contributes to the Perfect Patient Experience® by assisting the dentist in gaining patients’ commitment to recommended treatment, maintaining a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment, and completing X-rays and intra-oral photographs as directed by the dentist. The Dental Assistant also sterilizes and disinfects instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with American Dental Association guidelines and applicable regulations and policies. The position offers access to modern dental technology and support for developing clinical efficiency and professional skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment to the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where patients feel comfortable.
• Complete X-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate and at the direction of the dentist.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with American Dental Association guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and policies, including OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, and HR policies and practices.
