Experienced Dental Assistant
About The Position
Foxchase Dental Group is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to support the dentist and contribute to a positive patient experience. The role offers opportunities for personal and professional growth while working with a team focused on clinical excellence and community oral health care. The Dental Assistant will help patients feel comfortable, support treatment acceptance, take X-rays and intra-oral photographs as directed, and maintain clean, sterile clinical areas in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations. The position provides access to modern dental technology and support for developing clinical efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist as necessary to help gain the patient’s commitment to the best possible treatment with urgency.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where patients feel comfortable.
- Complete X-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate and at the direction of the dentist.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with American Dental Association guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with applicable state, federal, and other regulations and policies, including OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, and HR policies and practices.
