About The Position

The Dental Assistant supports the dentist during a variety of procedures and helps provide “Best in Class” care to every patient. The role calls for empathy, patience, quick thinking, professionalism, and a desire to help others. The assistant also helps maintain the dental practice through patient support, clinical preparation, and administrative work. The position is located at Coral Springs Dental Center.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of general mouth anatomy and dental terminology.
• Understanding of crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals, and implants.
• Outstanding professionalism, high moral standards, and a self-motivated work ethic.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with coworkers and patients.
• A driven personality and commitment to providing excellent patient care.
• Availability for long shifts and Saturdays as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years of dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure necessary equipment is ready for dentists.
• Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs.
• Take and process patient X-rays.
• Perform lab tasks as instructed.
• Greet patients and schedule appointments.
• Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
• Communicate oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Handle general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practice.
