About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Auto Painter to prepare vehicles for customers at one of its high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers. The role requires professional automotive painting expertise, including applying base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint correcting vehicles. This is a second-shift position, and the posting advertises a $6,000 bonus. Carvana describes its Reconditioning Centers as places where vehicles are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed on its website. The position is in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
A valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a motor vehicle records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Pass a complete background check.
