Technicians also earn commissions every two weeks, typically ranging from $400 to $1,400 based on store-level automotive repair net sales. Hourly pay and commissions may result in annual compensation above $100,000. Employees can earn a one-time $500 bonus for certifications acquired while employed by the company. The technician diagnoses and repairs vehicle problems, explains service options to customers, completes agreed-upon repairs, and performs routine vehicle maintenance. Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Current AATI or ASE certifications.
Valid driver's license.
Brake work experience.
Have your own tools.
Be honest and reliable, able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, service-oriented and attentive to detail, comfortable troubleshooting, and able to explain technical information in layman's terms.

Responsibilities
