About The Position

GPJ is hiring an Experience Strategist to join their growing team. This role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence in either the Boston or New York City office a minimum of 2 days per week. The Experience Strategist is responsible for crafting and executing strategies for a wide range of projects, including proprietary events, activations at third-party trade shows, product or service road shows, and seller enablement opportunities. The focus is on understanding the attendees (in-person or online), identifying their needs, devising solutions, and inspiring them to take action on behalf of clients. This role is pivotal at GPJ, and the strategist will be an integral part of both client and agency teams. They will build and maintain "Trusted Advisor" relationships with creative, account, and client teams, fostering collaboration and trust. The role involves developing comprehensive experience strategies encompassing physical, digital, social, and mobile elements. Additionally, the strategist will create reusable templates for strategy best practices (research, planning, account planning, strategy, analytics) to streamline the approach for assigned accounts. Key responsibilities include crafting clear and compelling creative briefs, actively participating in ideation sessions, and proactively exploring new experience strategies, technology-enabled engagements, and industry best practices to enhance client counsel and strategic recommendations. The role also involves research and planning for experiential marketing solutions (workshops, stakeholder interviews, primary/secondary research, program auditing), assisting with event auditing and analysis, and confidently leading client conversations and presentations. The ideal candidate possesses strong "verbal-side" creative expertise, including writing, presentation, and facilitation development, along with an appreciation for 2D and 3D design elements.

Requirements

  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Windows environment (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point,).
  • Proficient in other digital communications technologies (Salesforce, Chatter, Lync, Webex, etc.).
  • Proficient in Apple hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of and experience in using research tools and methodologies.
  • Understanding of best practices regarding analytics and marketing measurement.
  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • 3 to 5 years client / agency experience in a related role.
  • B2B experience.
  • Technology experience.

  • Graduate degree in business, marketing, communications, or writing preferred.
  • Experience in experiential marketing, strategy, planning, marketing, digital marketing and/or advertising, content, writing, copywriting.
