The Expeditor coordinates and distributes daily workflow by applying established processes and deploying resources to achieve company goals. This role monitors restock volume and order counts to assign work efficiently, estimates completion times based on internal processing schedules, and communicates with leadership and coworkers to maintain an efficient departmental workflow. The Expeditor may train and coach employees on production guidelines, techniques, and safety; collaborate with other business units; adapt to changing priorities; and complete work independently with minimal supervision. The position also involves inspecting assigned equipment at the start of each shift and checking it out and returning it in the same condition. Operation of powered lift equipment may be required. The position is based in a distribution center warehouse and involves operating equipment and working in a hectic, fast-paced, moderately noisy warehouse environment. Duties require frequent standing, walking, lifting and moving items up to 60 pounds, reaching, repetitive hand and arm motions, climbing stairs, kneeling or squatting, bending, and carrying. Employees may work near conveyor systems and face exposure to dust, changing weather, extreme heat or cold, and machinery-related hazards. Personal protective equipment, including a protective harness while operating equipment, may be required. A headset may also be required.
