About The Position
Max Burger in Avon, Connecticut, is seeking an Expeditor/Food Runner to join its opening team. Max Burger is a high-energy, casual dining restaurant serving gourmet burgers, fries, and shakes. The role supports smooth kitchen operations and helps deliver quality food and outstanding service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has back-of-house experience, an excellent eye for food quality and presentation, and a passion for supporting kitchen operations. Open availability is required.
Requirements
- Previous back-of-house experience is preferred, specifically in expediting or food running.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate between kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Ability to stay organized and ensure accuracy and presentation in high-volume settings.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail when presenting dishes.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays.
- Team-oriented attitude focused on collaboration and excellent service.

Responsibilities
- Ensure food orders are delivered from the kitchen to guests accurately and on time, and that dishes meet standards for presentation and temperature.
- Serve as a liaison between kitchen and front-of-house staff, communicating orders and special requests.
- Assist with smooth kitchen operations and maintain high standards of food presentation.
- Help keep the kitchen clean and organized by promptly removing dirty dishes and utensils.
- Collaborate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
- Provide support as needed during high-volume service.
