Executive Personal Assistant

The Law Firm for Truck SafetyToledo, OH
Hybrid

About The Position

This is a high-trust role for someone who sees the details, understands the bigger picture, and knows how to keep things moving. You will support Michael Leizerman, founding partner of The Law Firm for Truck Safety. Michael’s work spans law firm leadership, catastrophic truck crash litigation, writing, speaking, nonprofit and foundation service, professional education, safety advocacy, and special projects. He is a nationally recognized trucking litigation attorney, frequent speaker, and writer, co-founder of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, and the author of a leading treatise on trucking litigation. He also leads professional and nonprofit initiatives outside the day-to-day practice of law, including The Zen Lawyer Workshop & Retreat and related writing, speaking, and educational projects focused on lawyer well-being, education, and professional development. Supporting Michael’s work at The Law Firm for Truck Safety is a major part of this role. The firm represents families whose lives have been changed by catastrophic commercial truck crashes and works to improve roadway safety through litigation, advocacy, and industry leadership. However, this is not a legal professional role, and it is not intended to involve client-facing work or direct matter management. Instead, you will work alongside members of a collaborative, mission-driven team, as well as Michael’s broader professional network, to help coordinate schedules, communications, priorities, logistics, special projects, and follow-through on Michael’s leadership and professional commitments. This position is broader than traditional administrative support and extends beyond the law firm. You will help manage the day-to-day details of Michael’s professional and personal life across a wide range of commitments, projects, organizations, and priorities. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys managing complexity, solving problems independently, and helping bring structure and clarity to meaningful work. This is a fast-paced, high-trust role that requires attention to detail, strong organization, clear communication, and sound judgment. You will support a full professional and personal life with many moving pieces, bringing reliability and continuity to day-to-day responsibilities.
