About The Position

We are seeking a quiet, calm, and naturally discreet part-time Executive Housekeeper | Household Manager for a well-maintained 5,000 sq. ft. private residence in San Francisco’s Marina District. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, observant, and detail-oriented, takes pride in maintaining a well-run home, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats in a hybrid Housekeeping | Household Manager position. This is a hands-on role that blends daily household management with housekeeping and laundry support. The household includes two adults, a college-aged child who is home periodically, and a gentle senior dog.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of experience in a combined Household Manager | Housekeeper role
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, local candidates only
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Able to provide strong employment references and undergo a detailed background check
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop, lift, carry, and move typical household items, eg, a full laundry basket
  • Able to use stairways, a household ladder, or a step stool
  • Ability to operate household laundry equipment, cleaning equipment, and kitchen appliances
  • Polished, poised, kind, and professional in manner
  • Excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail
  • Comfortable working in a home with dogs
  • Understand and value discretion and respect the privacy needs of the principals and the family
  • Non-smoker and non-vaper

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred (excellent verbal and writing skills)

Responsibilities

  • Managing San Francisco home
  • Laundry and cleaning of 5,000+ square foot home
  • Interface with various support staff (i.e., contractors, gardeners, etc.)
  • Willingness to take out trash, recycling, and take delivery of as well as leave dry cleaning for delivery personnel
  • Maintaining a household manual and annual schedule for various maintenance activities
  • Manage handyman, decorator, etc. for ongoing household tasks (changing lightbulb, getting pictures hung, etc.)
  • Ensuring the home is secure after each day (setting the alarm; locking all doors)
  • Occasionally running other errands as necessary (shopping, getting cars cleaned or serviced)
  • Ensure pickup and delivery of items such as dry cleaning pickup, fed ex deliveries, etc.
  • Run household errands for shopping (i.e., mail, watch repair, ensuring supplies for the housecleaner).
  • Bringing items to FedEx for delivery
  • Daily dog walk (or hiring dog walker)– taking the dog to grooming or the vet, as needed, when the owners/doc is in residence
