Executive Chef 1 - Airport Lounge
About The Position
SodexoMagic is seeking an Executive Chef at Miami International Airport, within the private Delta Sky Club. Our airport lounges are dedicated spaces for passengers to relax and rejuvenate while awaiting their next adventure. SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Sodexo. As a certified minority company, we deliver food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges and universities and aviation lounges. This strategic alliance between Magic Johnson Enterprises and Sodexo, Inc., enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve.
Requirements
- A supervisory culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends.
- Excellent mentoring/leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards.
- Strong coaching and employee development skills.
- Have a passion for food and innovation.
- Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
- Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

- Seeking bilingual candidates; the ability to communicate in Spanish will help manage this workforce.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting.
- Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented.
- Have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations.
- Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance.
- Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems (Excel Spreadsheets).
