About The Position

Turbopuffer is seeking an Executive Assistant to support our CTO and manage operations in our NYC hub. As we scale rapidly, we need an individual who can alleviate the operational burden from the CTO. This role is based in NYC, requiring a hybrid work model in our downtown office, with occasional travel to Ottawa and San Francisco.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, or in a similar operations role.
  • Proven ability to manage calendars, inboxes, and travel for senior individuals with high volume.
  • Skill in juggling multiple senior stakeholders and competing priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated judgment and ability to identify and address issues proactively.
  • An 'operator' mindset, willing to fill gaps and handle any task, regardless of size.
  • Excellent written communication skills, capable of representing the CTO clearly.
  • Ability to build trust quickly and foster strong relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting a technical founder or engineering leader.
  • Experience working at an early-stage startup.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the CTO's calendar, travel arrangements, and inbox.
  • Handle a high-volume schedule with competing priorities across different time zones.
  • Plan travel end-to-end, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, and itineraries.
  • Triage the CTO's inbox to ensure no critical items are missed.
  • Collaborate with the CEO's Executive Assistant on company-wide initiatives.
  • Develop and improve the new hire onboarding process.
  • Organize events such as customer dinners and company offsites.
  • Oversee operations for the NYC office.
