About The Position

Provides executive-level administrative support to the Chief Economist, senior economists, and Chief Investment Office by managing a wide range of complex, confidential, and time-sensitive responsibilities. Ensures efficient operations through strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and proactive coordination of executive priorities. Manages and maintains complex calendars, schedules meetings, and coordinates conference room bookings for multiple economists. Organizes recurring meetings, including biweekly staff meetings, and supports ongoing communication and scheduling needs. Coordinates all travel arrangements through PNC Travel, including flights, hotels, and rental cars, and prepares and submits expense reports in the PNC expense system by collecting and organizing receipts. Partners with internal stakeholders to support investment briefings and related travel logistics. Maintains key reporting and scheduling processes, including the monthly economist presentation schedule and executive-level presentations such as the EXEC ALCO PowerPoint. Compiles and updates financial and economic data using internal sources and communicates completion to leadership for final review and distribution. Supports weekly and monthly deliverables, including coordinating participation in recurring calls and ensuring timely communication with internal and external stakeholders. Facilitates survey reporting processes by managing documentation, formatting, and distribution to external organizations and media contacts. Ensures smooth daily operations by ordering supplies, maintaining organized records, and supporting cross-functional teams within the department. Acts as a trusted partner to leadership by handling sensitive information with discretion and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Economics group. Acts as a trusted partner to leadership, contributing to the smooth execution of business priorities while supporting a high-performing, collaborative environment. Provides executive level support to managers generally considered to be Division Managers by performing an array of administrative functions requiring confidentiality, initiative and sound decision making for the executive. Responds to routine correspondence; drafts correspondence for the executive's approval and signature; schedules appointments; coordinates meetings, conferences and travel arrangements. Manages executive's calendar, committing executive's time. Facilitates the executive's work by establishing, organizing and maintaining files of correspondence, records and related materials. Information handled may include highly confidential information dealing with the long and short-range plans of the organization, personnel issues, salary information and customers. Ensures the efficiency of department operations by directing the activities of administrative staff. Provides support by screening and routing telephone calls, mail and visitors, responding to routine questions, and obtaining and furnishing information to save the manager's time. Sets priorities for telephone calls and visitors. Prepares complex management reports/documents by gathering, organizing, summarizing and analyzing data. Controls expenses by monitoring and researching operating budget variances, balancing manager's expense account, authorizing bills for payment, and recommending equipment purchases.

Requirements

  • Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree with < 1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
