About The Position

The Exceptions Analyst researches abnormalities in clients’ utility bills, including meter readings and other information that appears unusual. The role is part of the Synergy department and contributes to identifying and resolving billing issues that can generate savings for clients. It involves communicating with utility providers and clients by email and phone, with outbound calls making up about 25% of the workday. The position is hybrid, with in-office work on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Compensation is $15.75 plus performance-based bonuses.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Attention to detail.
Ability to explain complex ideas verbally and in writing using clear, professional language.
Ability to prioritize time and consistently pursue higher goals.
Problem-solving skills and ability to independently use provided resources and tools.
Comfort using a computer, Google Drive, and Excel.
Ability and commitment to quickly learn and adapt to new computer software.
Ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Research and resolve anomalies in utility provider bills.
Communicate with utility providers and clients by email and phone.
Determine the best course of action to resolve issues and contact the necessary party.
Detect inefficient processes and find innovative solutions.
Make outbound calls to providers and clients for approximately 25% of the workday.
