About The Position

Vogel Bros. Building Co. is seeking an Equipment Operator/Tradesman for water and wastewater construction projects in Pasco County, Florida. The role is hands-on and fast-paced, with responsibility for completing assigned work to the company’s quality and safety standards. Reliable transportation to travel to jobsites is required. The operator will use heavy equipment and perform manual construction work as needed, while supporting the crew and maintaining equipment, tools, and work areas. The position calls for a safety-conscious, dependable team member who can communicate with supervisors and help keep projects on schedule and up to quality standards.

Requirements

Experience operating construction equipment; excavator experience is specifically required.
Pipeline experience.
Time-management skills.
Interpersonal skills.
Construction foundation preparation experience.
Knowledge of tools, materials, and safe work practices.
Valid driver’s license.
Reliable transportation to travel to jobsites.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor outdoors.
Teamwork, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in water and wastewater construction.
Equipment certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, and forklifts.
Perform manual construction tasks when not operating equipment, including digging, grading, formwork, concrete work, and pipe installation.
Follow safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
Support the crew by keeping equipment, tools, and work areas clean and maintained.
Communicate with supervisors to keep projects on track and meet quality standards.
Complete assigned tasks in compliance with the company’s Quality Control and Safety Programs.
