Excavator Operator - Underground Pipe

About The Position

WW Clyde is hiring an Excavator Operator for underground pipe work in the Arizona Region. The operator will inspect and maintain equipment, operate it safely and efficiently, and perform excavation, grading, and backfilling activities. The role involves moving materials, earth, and other heavy objects and working with management and subcontractors to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. The successful candidate must be safety-conscious and have a record of working safely. The offer and start date are contingent on a successful background check and a preemployment drug screen, including THC.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience effectively operating an excavator.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Strong communication skills.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze project data.
Commitment to safety at all times.
Safety-conscious, with a record of working safely in the workplace.
Successful background check and preemployment drug screen, including THC, as conditions of the offer and start date.

Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
Operate equipment safely and efficiently so work is completed on schedule and within budget.
Work closely with management and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed to a high standard of quality.
Operate equipment for activities such as excavating, grading, and backfilling excavations.
Move materials, earth, and other heavy objects as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
