About The Position

Roto-Rooter is hiring an Excavation Technician/Laborer to perform residential and commercial excavations for sewer and water service repairs and replacements. The role resolves plumbing issues caused by compromised or broken plumbing lines. Work includes excavation, pipe repair or installation, operating excavation machinery, and working in confined spaces and open trenches. The position also involves traveling between job sites, interacting with customers, entering customers’ residences, and collecting payment.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with excavation projects in residential and commercial construction settings.
Valid driver's license.
Current CDL, or ability to obtain one within 90 days if necessary for the vehicle driven.
Proficiency working in excavation environments, including confined spaces and trenches.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Trenchless water, sewer, and gas experience.

Responsibilities

Strictly follow OSHA and Roto-Rooter safety protocols.
Interact with customers as needed and provide trustworthy service in their residences.
Perform excavation work, followed by pipe repairs or new pipe installations.
Operate backhoes, mini-excavators, skid steers, and other excavation machinery to excavate and load loose materials.
Work in confined spaces and open trenches.
Locate and arrive at job sites on time, and safely drive and operate a service vehicle between job sites.
Collect monetary payment and proceed to the next service call.
Complete jobs within specified timelines.
