About The Position

The EVS Worker maintains cleanliness of patient rooms and additional spaces within the hospital. The role involves cleaning rooms and bathrooms, making beds, replenishing supplies, and keeping storage areas and carts clean and well-stocked. The worker follows company and safety and security policies, reports accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, damage, theft, and found articles, and completes required safety training and certifications. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to carry out specific oral or written instructions, frequently following a simple routine.
Ability to perform repetitive actions consistently.
Ability to use hands to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy.
Service orientation and a willingness to actively look for ways to help people.
Coordination and ability to adjust actions in relation to others' actions.
Housekeeping experience: 1 year.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Other applicable cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Display good customer relation skills and greet guests in a friendly manner.
Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts.
Clean guest rooms and bathrooms and make beds.
Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
Replenish drinking glasses, writing supplies, and bathroom supplies in guest rooms.
Replace light bulbs.
Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using a vacuum cleaner.
Polish metalwork, including fixtures and fittings.
Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, clean ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
Observe precautions to protect property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
Follow company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
Complete safety training and certifications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
