About The Position

The Project Worker, EVS supports and assists with environmental service projects and initiatives to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary clinic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The role assists with projects such as deep cleaning, renovations, and equipment maintenance, follows project schedules and assignments, and coordinates with Environmental Services and other departments to minimize disruption to patient care. It also performs routine cleaning and disinfection in accordance with established protocols, infection control guidelines, and safety procedures. This is an onsite role at 55 Fruit Street, scheduled Monday through Friday for 40 hours per week, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The position does not require patient care.

Requirements

Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or a related field.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, infection control practices, and safety procedures.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and implementing environmental service projects, including deep cleaning, renovations, and equipment maintenance.
Follow project schedules and task assignments to complete work within designated timelines.
Coordinate with the Environmental Services team and other departments and help minimize disruption to patient care.
Perform routine cleaning, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting assigned areas.
Follow cleaning protocols, infection control guidelines, and safety procedures.
Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to maintain cleanliness standards and help prevent the spread of infections.
