About The Position

The Public Area Attendant ensures the cleanliness and upkeep of all hotel public areas, including restrooms, elevators, and lobbies, to maintain high-quality standards. The role supports guest services by responding to requests and completing additional cleaning tasks to exceed guest expectations. The position is based at JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown and requires availability for the evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The attendant also cleans back-of-house areas, assists hotel staff, maintains supplies in public areas, monitors cleanliness throughout the hotel, and performs additional cleaning projects as directed. Duties must follow brand standards and meet or exceed guest expectations. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks with speed and accuracy.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Availability for the evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
Availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays based on hotel needs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to lift, push, or pull loads weighing up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness in hotel public areas, including restrooms, lobbies, and elevators.
Respond to guest requests for items such as rollaway beds, refrigerators, and other amenities; assist with turndown service when needed.
Clean back-of-house areas and assist hotel staff, including vacuuming offices and checking room status.
Maintain inventory in public areas, including towels for the fitness center and pool, and notify the supervisor when supplies are low.
Monitor public areas to maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Perform additional cleaning projects as directed by the supervisor, such as carpet or tile and grout cleaning.
Follow brand standards and perform duties to meet or exceed guest expectations.
