About The Position

The EVS Tech performs housekeeping functions, including cleaning and sanitation, while observing high sanitation and safety standards in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and state and federal laws. The role supports patient rooms and common areas throughout the hospital and helps maintain linen supplies and dispose of waste and soiled linens appropriately. The work environment involves daily patient contact and may include exposure to blood or other body fluids.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior cleaning experience in a health care or institutional setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and common areas throughout the hospital.
• Maintain adequate linen supplies for all departments.
• Remove waste and soiled linens using proper disposal procedures.
• Operate housekeeping mechanical equipment.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Maintain appropriate confidentiality and security of information and data.
• Cooperate fully in Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety activities and investigations.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate to the position.
