EVS Tech - full-time evenings
About The Position
Meritus Health is hiring an EVS Tech to help maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming facility in support of patient care and public health. The role involves cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices, and specialized spaces such as MRI and pharmacy areas; handling infectious and non-infectious waste; supporting training for new team members; completing daily checklists and documentation; and providing customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting, including lifting up to 50 pounds and operating equipment. The employee may work from step ladders and move carts, beds, and other gear. There may be occasional exposure to chemicals, body fluids, and infection risks, including C. diff and COVID-19. The role calls for focused attention, multitasking, and oral and written communication.
Requirements
- Be detail-oriented and physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and operating equipment.
- Be comfortable working from step ladders and moving carts, beds, and gear.
- Be a team player with solid communication skills.
- Be able to read and follow written instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related experience is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is preferred but not required.
