About The Position

The EVS Tech performs housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitation functions throughout the hospital while following high-sanitation and safety standards, hospital policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal laws. The role includes cleaning patient rooms and common areas, maintaining linen supplies, disposing of waste and soiled linens properly, and operating housekeeping mechanical equipment. The position involves daily patient contact and may include exposure to blood or other body fluids.

The employee is expected to demonstrate the hospital’s core values and handle information within the position’s scope with appropriate confidentiality and security. The role also requires cooperation with risk management, quality management, and safety activities and investigations, along with basic knowledge and skills to identify age-specific patient needs relevant to the position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English preferred.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for the position.
• Follow high-sanitation and safety standards, hospital policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal laws.

Nice To Haves

• Prior cleaning experience in a health care or institutional setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and common areas throughout the hospital.
• Maintain adequate linen supply for all departments.
• Remove waste and soiled linens using proper disposal procedures.
• Operate housekeeping mechanical equipment.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
