About The Position
The Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for carrying out daily duties that establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. The role involves contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff, with interactions that may be physical, psychological, educational, or safety-related and should be appropriate to the demographics of patients served in assigned areas. The EVS Tech I ensures timely room turns to support patient throughput while following basic environmental hygiene and infection-prevention principles. In accordance with organizational quality standards, the technician contributes to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention, and patient experience.
