EVS Operations Manager - Evenings- Bridgeport, CT
About The Position
Crothall Healthcare is seeking an Operations Manager to assist in directing and overseeing the support services operational needs of the department. The manager coordinates frontline associates and serves as a liaison between administration and unit departments, providing a high level of service. The position is in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The listed salary range is $55,000–$60,000. Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, provides support services exclusively to the healthcare industry. Its services include Environmental Services, Patient Transportation, Patient Observation, Healthcare Facilities Management, Sterile Processing Services, and Ambulatory EVS.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of support services, military, housekeeping, and/or facilities maintenance experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a support-service-related field with high customer or client contact.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and oral presentations.
- Ability to multitask and establish priorities.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing and stressful environment.
- Initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
- Thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the internet.

Responsibilities
- Establish and annually review standards and work procedures for all staff.
- Plan work and staffing schedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services are rendered.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training new associates.
- Orient, develop, and supervise supervisory and housekeeping staff.
- Conduct regular inspections and make recommendations to the facility.
- Prepare monthly reports on goals, accomplishments, and future plans.
- Provide staff education and continuous training.
- Communicate with staff, administration, and other departments.
- Coordinate outside services, including pest control, window cleaning, medical and solid waste, document destruction, and recycling.
