About The Position

Xanitos is seeking a 2nd Shift Environmental Services Manager at KP Richmond Medical Center in Richmond, California. The manager oversees Environmental Services associates under the direction of the Unit Director and serves as a liaison between hospital departments and Environmental Services to provide a high level of service. The role manages staffing, scheduling, assignments, training, performance, quality assurance, inventory, and equipment, while maintaining a sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment. The expected salary range is $85,000 to $90,000, depending on qualifications and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission, if applicable.

Requirements

• Management experience.
• Healthcare Environmental Services (EVS) experience.
• Floorcare experience.
• Union experience.
• Strong leadership skills and experience leading and managing a team.
• Customer-service-minded approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• High school diploma required.
• Proficiency with Windows-based office software.
• Flexibility to work some differing shifts.

Nice To Haves

• College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in staff selection and interview candidates as needed.
• Schedule days off, holidays, and vacations while meeting account needs and position-control requirements.
• Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties.
• Conduct quality-assurance checks and manage materials inventory and general-use equipment.
• Ensure staff receive orientation, initial training, and ongoing education.
• Guide and motivate staff to help them perform to their fullest potential.
• Discipline associates according to progressive disciplinary guidelines when necessary.
• Prepare associate disciplinary and variance reports, investigate as needed, and report findings to the Department Director.
• Prepare disciplinary action notices and conduct follow-up as required.
• Conduct disciplinary meetings with associates with guidance from the Department Director.
• Maintain a sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment.
• Demonstrate and promote Xanitos’ culture, values, and management philosophy.
• Provide quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
• Serve as a liaison between hospital departments and Environmental Services.
