EVS Lead Technician - Environmental Services - North
About The Position
The Lead Environmental Services Technician maintains environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures. The role cleans and maintains hospital and adjacent-building areas in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition, and may require travel between facilities. The technician responds to and initiates communication using phones, handheld radios, pagers, and similar devices. The position is based at Cox North in Springfield, Missouri, in the Environmental Services North department. It is scheduled for 40 hours per week, with hours listed as 6:30 AM–3:00 PM and a work shift identified as evening shift.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of hospitality, healthcare, or cleaning experience.
- Ability to work alone and after hours when frequently required.
- Ability to stand and walk continually.
- Observe safety standards and use safe work techniques at all times.
- Demonstrate awareness of Material Safety Data Sheets and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
