About The Position
Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EVS Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of patient rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces at Palmetto General Hospital. The role supports a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors by meeting cleanliness and infection-control standards. Bilingual English and Spanish skills are strongly preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday and every other weekend, from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour. This is a full-time position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but is not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently.
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull heavy carts.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and public areas according to established infection-control and cleaning standards.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors using appropriate techniques to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Empty trash, replace liners, transport waste to disposal areas, collect soiled linens, and deliver them to the appropriate laundry facilities.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report shortages or issues to the EVS Supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment, and maintain cleaning equipment in good condition.
- Provide friendly and respectful service to patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining patient confidentiality and dignity.
- Respond to special cleaning requests in patient care areas.
- Assist with quality assurance checks and report cleanliness concerns or safety hazards to the EVS Supervisor or Manager.
- Follow healthcare facility policies, state regulations, and infection-prevention protocols.
