Housekeeper (Overnight)
About The Position
TrustPoint Behavioral Health Hospital is hiring a Housekeeper in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The role is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient-care environment at a 217-bed treatment center that provides inpatient and outpatient medical and psychiatric services. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., and the pay range is $16.00 to $20.00 per hour. The Housekeeper performs custodial and sanitation work throughout the facility, including disinfecting rooms and equipment, laundering linens, maintaining and stocking supplies, and preparing rooms for meetings and facility functions. The role also includes following infection-control measures and properly cleaning and storing equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred.
- Valid state driver's license where required by the facility.
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.
- First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain the facility’s upkeep, sanitation, and cleanliness.
- Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies using appropriate cleaning processes and germicides.
- Perform other housekeeping tasks, including moving and arranging furniture, turning mattresses, cleaning kitchens and utensils, and sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors as needed.
- Launder soiled linens as directed.
- Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department or unit use.
- Clean and store all equipment and supplies properly after each shift.
- Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
- Stock supplies as needed.
- Follow all infection-control measures.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
