About The Position
Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EVS Housekeeper to join its Environmental Services team. The EVS Housekeeper maintains the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of patient rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces in a healthcare facility. The role ensures areas meet cleanliness and infection-control standards to support a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This is a full-time position at Hialeah Hospital, scheduled Monday through Friday and every other weekend, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently.
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push or pull heavy carts.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and public areas in accordance with infection-control and cleaning standards.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors using appropriate techniques to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Empty trash cans, replace liners, transport waste to disposal areas, collect soiled linens, and deliver them to appropriate laundry facilities.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, and report shortages or issues to the EVS Supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols, including using personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure cleaning equipment functions properly and is maintained in good condition.
- Provide friendly and respectful service to patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining patient confidentiality and dignity; respond to special cleaning requests in patient care areas.
- Assist with quality assurance checks by reporting cleanliness concerns or safety hazards to the EVS Supervisor or Manager.
- Adhere to healthcare facility policies, state regulations, and infection-prevention protocols.
