About The Position

The Entry-Level Custodian maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a medical facility. The role supports patient care by ensuring exam rooms, procedure rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces are cleaned to healthcare standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical setting.

Available schedules are Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM; 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; 7:00 PM–3:30 AM; or 10:00 PM–6:30 AM. Employees must work one Saturday per month. Compensation is $16.50 per hour, paid weekly, with a $300 sign-on bonus and a $150 employee referral bonus.

Requirements

• Previous experience in healthcare cleaning, Environmental Services (EVS), or custodial/janitorial work.
• Must pass required background checks.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Reliable and punctual; able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must work one Saturday per month.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in surgical, medical, or clinical environments is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean surgical and clinical areas, including procedure rooms, exam rooms, pre-op and recovery areas, offices, restrooms, waiting rooms, and hallways.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas according to healthcare and infection-control protocols.
• Handle and properly dispose of regulated medical waste, including sharps containers and biohazard materials.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper products, sanitizing solutions, and personal protective equipment.
• Perform floor care, including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and spot cleaning.
• Empty trash and biomedical waste receptacles and transport them to designated disposal areas.
