About The Position

The Entry-Level Custodian maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a medical facility, supporting patient care by cleaning exam rooms, procedure rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas to healthcare standards. The role involves detailed cleaning and disinfection, handling regulated medical waste, restocking supplies, and performing floor care. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical setting. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with one Saturday per month required.

Requirements

Previous experience in healthcare cleaning, Environmental Services (EVS), or custodial/janitorial work.
Must pass required background checks.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Reliable and punctual; able to work independently or as part of a team.
Must work one Saturday per month.

Nice To Haves

Experience in surgical, medical, or clinical environments is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean surgical and clinical areas, including procedure rooms, exam rooms, pre-op and recovery areas, offices, restrooms, waiting rooms, and hallways.
Clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas according to healthcare and infection-control protocols.
Handle and properly dispose of regulated medical waste, including sharps containers and biohazard materials.
Restock supplies such as soap, paper products, sanitizing solutions, and PPE.
Perform floor care, including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and spot cleaning.
Empty trash and biomedical waste receptacles and transport them to designated disposal areas.
