About The Position

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Events Staff Steward to join a prestigious private members' club located in Washington, DC, serving UHNW clientele. The club offers a refined hospitality and dining experience to its distinguished membership. This is an on-call, as-needed position based on scheduled events and private parties, with a focus on delivering essential operational support. Hours will vary based on business and event needs, and there is no guarantee of a minimum number of hours.

The Events Staff Steward supports the successful execution of club events by maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked service and back-of-house areas. Working closely with the culinary and front-of-house teams, this position plays an important role in ensuring staff have the supplies, equipment, and support necessary to deliver seamless and exceptional events.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, private clubs, catering, banquets, stewarding, dishwashing, or event support is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in a fast-paced event environment.
• Ability to perform the physical responsibilities of the position and work a flexible, on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked event, kitchen, service, and back-of-house areas throughout events.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, equipment, and service items in accordance with established sanitation standards.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown, including organizing, transporting, and replenishing equipment, supplies, glassware, utensils, and other event materials.
• Promptly address spills, waste, and cleanliness needs while following all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety standards.
• Collaborate with culinary, service, and event team members to provide efficient behind-the-scenes support and ensure seamless event execution.
