About The Position

The Events & Promotions Representative reports directly to the Marketing Manager and is responsible for executing events and promotions held at JACK ThistleDown Racino. The role prepares and staffs promotion and event areas, assists patrons, manages promotional materials and supplies, verifies guest eligibility, and promotes ClubJACK programs and membership. It also involves tracking promotional activity, inventory, expenses, transactions, and records while following company and regulatory policies. The representative must be able to work independently and handle multiple projects as priorities change. The position requires guest service in a casino environment, professional presentation, teamwork, and the ability to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical requirements include extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking; navigating the property, including stairs or escalators; and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous experience in the hospitality, retail, or casino industry.
Ability to deal with guests in a casino environment.
Above-proficient knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles.
Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of up to four hours.
Ability to navigate all areas of the property and move between floors by stairs (at least 20 steps) or escalator.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.
Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
Ability to tolerate areas with dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.
Must be able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission license.

Responsibilities

Prepare promotion areas for promotions and events.
Execute promotions and assist patrons with invitation programs, gift distribution, and other promotion-related tasks.
Staff special-event registration areas.
Stock promotion and event areas with necessary supplies and decorations, and secure items at the conclusion of each event.
Display promotional collateral before each project and recover it at the conclusion.
Ensure guests qualify for entry by swiping their card in CMP.
Use Atrient and Power Kiosk to track players and verify eligibility for promotions when applicable.
Ensure data accuracy and maintain data integrity.
Promote ClubJACK programs and card membership.
Verify funds or gift card values at the beginning and end of each shift.
Verify and document exchanges to ensure accountability for transactions.
Balance and maintain the promotions bank, including gift cards and cash.
Ensure prize-winner forms are completed properly and submitted for processing.
Track inventories and expenses for assigned projects.
Inventory promotional merchandise at required intervals and update the Marketing Manager.
Maintain monthly records, charts, and graphs of promotions.
Serve as a role model and represent JACK ThistleDown and JACK Entertainment positively.
Meet attendance guidelines and follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
