Events Content Marketing Manager

VerkadaSan Mateo, CA
$155,000 - $175,000Onsite

About The Position

Verkada runs over 500 events a year across various formats and sizes. Whether it is our multi thousand attendee annual user conference, VerkadaOne, or more intimate roundtables, today the marketing team custom builds a lot of the programming and content ahead of each event. As our first Events Content Marketing Manager, you will own the content, programming and templatization behind all of them. You will create and build templatized, reusable content systems so every event ships faster and at consistent quality, and integrate it with our quarterly global campaigns so that we build a more seamless journey for our partners, end-customers and prospects. Every session, agenda, and asset you produce should incorporate the pre, during and post motions required to successfully move prospects further along the funnel. You will have the support of a separate event logistics team but will completely own the content and programming end to end, along with how it plugs into the broader integrated campaign motion. We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our office in San Mateo, CA 5 days a week.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in content development, integrated marketing, product marketing or event content for large-scale programs.
  • Mastery of the English language, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across diverse content formats
  • A systems mindset: you build templates and repeatable processes, not one-off deliverables.
  • Strong content generation skills across web pages, slides, email and other formats, backed by a clear grasp of content strategy.
  • Excellent project management: you can run multiple concurrent programs, work cross-functionally, and manage budget and demand generation activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; you manage diverse stakeholders with tact and professionalism.
  • A self-starter mentality with hands-on execution experience.
  • Ability to work onsite in San Mateo, CA, five days a week, with flexibility to travel for regional events.
  • Bachelors Degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and templatize our annual user conference, VerkadaOne.
  • Create templatized content frameworks (agendas, session formats, web copy, email tracks, brochures, and internal promotion kits) that scale across VerkadaOne, VerkadaOne on-the-road events, large Verkada-hosted Security Summits, and more intimate event experiences.
  • Integrate in-person first and third party events into our integrated campaigns.
  • Partner with campaign owners to connect field program content to the campaigns running around it: pre-event acquisition, in-event engagement, and post-event follow-up that turns attendees into pipeline.
  • Own agenda and programming. Design event agendas, manage content schedules, and coordinate programming so every component supports the event's goals.
  • Own event web and registration content. Develop messaging for event websites and keep it current as speakers, sessions, and details are announced.
  • Curate breakout sessions. Develop session content for distinct attendee groups: customers, prospects, and partners.
  • Extend conference content regionally. Adapt VerkadaOne content into regionalized events that run throughout the year.
  • Drive event communications. Own email messaging, event branding touchpoints, and the internal content that gets our field teams promoting each program.
  • Build out longform event-related content. Own the creation and production of branded brochures that describe the event, speakers, and agenda.
  • Repurpose recorded content. Curate recorded sessions (and other events content) and update Verkada’s web properties for post-event reuse.
