About The Position

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring Event Staff to support concerts, professional sporting events, and other events at venues in Portland and surrounding areas. Team members help ensure guests have a safe and enjoyable experience by assisting with event preparation and execution, welcoming and directing guests, managing venue entry, and maintaining designated areas. The role offers flexible scheduling and does not require prior experience.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
May be required to pass a driver's record check.
Must be professional, articulate, and able to exercise good independent judgment and discretion.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
Allow appropriate entry into venues by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing traffic entering and leaving the venue.
Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
Greet guests in a friendly and personal manner at facility entrances, aisles, concourses, or other locations, and thank them at the end of each interaction.
Provide guests with directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
Direct foot traffic and help maintain the cleanliness, operational efficiency, and upkeep of designated areas.
Communicate with guests using a friendly tone and natural speaking voice.
