About The Position

Allied Universal Event Services is hiring Event Security staff for events at the Alamodome. The role supports event-day preparation and execution, helps manage venue entry, screens guests, monitors security checkpoints, and responds to crowd-control issues. Staff are expected to provide helpful directions and superior customer service to create a positive guest experience. The position offers flexible, part-time scheduling under 30 hours per week and pays $16 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years old, as stated in the role-specific requirements.
Must have a valid Texas Security License.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional screening may be required when driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle.
Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
Manage venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing traffic entering and leaving the venue.
Screen guests at entry through bag searches, hand-wand or metal-detector screening, and ID verification.
Watch vital checkpoints for security breaches to protect guests, staff, and venue assets.
Respond promptly to potential crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejection is warranted.
Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
Provide a positive experience for guests at facility entrances, aisles, concourses, and other locations.
Give guests helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
