About The Position

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring Event Staff for event security duties at SevenVenues in Norfolk, Virginia. The role supports event-day preparation and execution at venues, including welcoming and assisting guests, managing entry, directing foot traffic, and helping maintain designated areas. Candidates from surrounding cities are welcome. No prior experience is needed. The position pays $15 per hour and offers flexible, part-time scheduling under 30 hours per week, with evening and weekend shifts available.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
May be required to pass a driver's record check.
Must be professional, articulate, and able to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
Allow appropriate entry into venues; collect or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, and direct traffic entering and leaving the venue.
Follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
Greet guests warmly at entrances, aisles, concourses, and other locations, and thank them at the end of each interaction.
Provide guests with helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
Direct foot traffic and help ensure the cleanliness, operational efficiency, and maintenance of designated areas.
Provide superior customer service through friendly, clear communication.
