About The Position

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring seasonal event security and staff in Austin. The role supports event preparation and execution at venues and provides guest safety and customer service. Duties include managing venue access, screening guests, monitoring security checkpoints, responding to crowd-control concerns, and helping guests navigate the venue. The position offers flexible scheduling and is described as a potential source of seasonal or supplemental income.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment, depending on applicable laws and regulations.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional screening may be required when driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle.
• Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
• Manage venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing traffic entering and leaving the venue.
• Screen guests at entry using bag searches, hand wands or metal detectors, and ID verification.
• Monitor vital checkpoints for security breaches to protect guests, staff, and venue ownership assets.
• Respond to potential crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
• Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
• Provide a positive experience for guests at facility entrances, aisles, concourses, or other locations.
• Provide guests with helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
