Event Captain - New Austin Location!
About The Position
The Event Captain at Five Iron is responsible for leading on-site event execution and ensuring guests receive an elevated experience and the company delivers its Best-in-Class Events promise. The role includes preparing event spaces, greeting guests, resolving issues, managing event timelines and contracted services, and completing financial closing. The Event Captain coordinates staff, simulators, event spaces, and event-related inventory; collaborates with kitchen staff and stakeholders; supports the Event Sales Manager; and contributes ideas to improve guest experiences and revenue. The position requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and involves standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Lead on-site execution of events, including guest greetings, space preparation, issue resolution, and financial closing.
- Ensure positive customer experiences and deliver contracted event services successfully.
- Manage simulators and event spaces according to contract requirements.
- Oversee event timelines to keep activities organized and on schedule.
- Train and coordinate staff in various roles to provide a premium event experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food meets customer expectations.
- Provide feedback to the Sales team to support return business.
- Purchase and manage event-related inventory.
- Support the Event Sales Manager with administrative tasks.
- Attend weekly meetings to review banquet event orders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create additional events and experiences.
- Suggest improvements to event experiences and opportunities to increase revenue.
- Check in with guests during their visit and promptly address concerns.
