About The Position

The Evening Reception Cook supports the hotel’s complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback by preparing food, overseeing the reception, and cleaning up afterward. The role helps provide positive experiences for guests and team members while keeping the kitchen and lobby clean, organized, and appropriately stocked. The cook follows food safety standards, offers courteous and friendly guest service, answers questions about the hotel, local area, and events, and promotes Drury’s standards of integrity, service, and hospitality.

Requirements

• Knowledge of hotel accommodations, the community, and hotel services.
• Ability to accurately inventory food items and calculate order levels.
• Warm, friendly communication with guests and ability to create a happy, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere.
• Ability to speak and understand written and verbal directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for the complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback and oversee the guest reception.
• Clean up after the Kickback.
• Keep the kitchen and lobby clean and well organized.
• Maintain food safety standards and ensure supplies are stocked at appropriate levels.
• Provide courteous, friendly guest service and help create a comfortable atmosphere.
• Answer guest questions about hotel accommodations, services, the local area, and events.
• Promote Drury’s culture and standards of integrity, service, and hospitality to guests and coworkers.
