About The Position
KRB Development is a family-owned and operated general contractor serving the Phoenix metro area since 2005. We do both commercial and residential work, and we hold a BBB A+ rating. We run our business on integrity, honest communication, and treating our clients and team like family. We’re growing, and we’re looking for a leader to grow with us. This isn’t a desk-only estimating job. We want a self-starter who can own a project from first handshake to final walkthrough. You’ll meet with clients, build estimates and proposals, close the deal, and guide the job through completion. You’ll work closely with our Office Manager. You’ll also have real room to shape and develop this role as we grow.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of estimating experience with a general contractor
- Strong sales skills and a proven track record of winning work
- Experience with construction estimating software
- Excellent communication skills and a personable, professional presence with clients
- A self-motivated leader who takes initiative and follows through without being told
- A true team player
- Strong morals and work ethic, because how we do business matters as much as what we build
- Minimum 5 years estimating experience
- Ability to estimate and project manage jobs
- Ability to forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulas
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Software estimating experience IE: Examples Timberline, HCSS HeavyBid, Planswift, Job tread , etc
- Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills
Nice To Haves
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is preferred
Responsibilities
- Meet with prospective clients, walk sites, and build strong relationships
- Prepare accurate estimates, takeoffs, and professional proposals
- Sell the work by presenting proposals, answering questions, and closing contracts
- Manage projects from start to finish, including scope, schedule, subs, budget, and client updates
- Coordinate daily with our Office Manager and field team
- Help develop the systems and processes for this role
