About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial interior construction projects, including drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and commercial flooring. This role is responsible for reviewing construction documents, performing detailed quantity takeoffs, coordinating vendor and subcontractor pricing, and developing comprehensive bid proposals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial interior construction estimating, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids while working collaboratively with project managers, field teams, suppliers, and clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior construction trades.
  • Commercial interior construction estimating experience is required.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and interior building systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
  • Experience performing accurate quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and flooring projects.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and compare pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Identify scope gaps, exclusions, project risks, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Prepare complete bid proposals and supporting documentation for client submission.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, field teams, vendors, suppliers, and clients throughout the estimating process.
  • Maintain organized estimating files, bid records, and project documentation.
  • Support project turnover by providing detailed estimate breakdowns, scope clarifications, and budget information to operations teams.
  • Track bid activity and assist with post-bid reviews as needed.
