About The Position

The Esthetician supports Kohler Waters Spas’ commitment to customer care by providing efficient, effective, high-quality service and helping ensure guests’ comfort and satisfaction. The role requires knowledge of spa services, products, and procedures, and consistent adherence to Kohler Waters Spa and Forbes standards. The Esthetician also takes on leadership and coordination duties, including overseeing new-hire technical and standards training, contributing to spa menu development, managing assigned projects, helping manage associate schedules and in-house trainings, and acting as Lead when the Lead is absent. The position is onsite in Lincoln Park, Illinois. Nights, weekends, and holidays are strongly preferred. The competitive commission range is based on individual sales; average commission plus gratuity per service is $83.00–$102.00.

Requirements

At least 6 years of experience in a licensed field.
High school diploma or GED.
Current and valid applicable State of Wisconsin or Illinois license, as relevant to the service field.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
Strong, effective communication skills and ability to work with a wide variety of personalities.
Authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a spa environment preferred.
Computer knowledge or experience helpful.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality internal and external customer service in accordance with Kohler Waters Spa and Forbes standards.
Greet guests professionally and help ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness in treatment rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
Use proper verbiage and maintain professional demeanor, uniform, and grooming standards.
Maintain knowledge of spa services, amenities, and emergency procedures.
Deliver technical services to a high standard and adhere to standard operating procedures.
Meet agreed retail sales goals by educating guests about at-home care.
Maintain continuing education in accordance with applicable state requirements.
Follow policies established by Forbes, Kohler Waters Spa, and Kohler Co.
Perform special-event treatments at locations including golf courses, Riverbend, Sports Core, TAC, and spa-hosted events; these services are secondary to the position’s primary function.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Oversee technical-performance and Forbes-standards training for new hires.
Participate in spa menu development, including research, ideas, and drafting standard operating procedures.
Manage additional projects as assigned by the Lead.
Help manage associate schedules and in-house trainings.
Attend mandatory in-house trainings and act as Lead when the Lead is absent.
Participate in at least five Kohler Waters Spa events.
Complete required training criteria before having customer contact.
